This year we will be focusing on safety measures, sanitation, and food preparation and handling in the kitchen.
Students will discuss and explore food choices, food alternatives as well as prepare and sample a wide range of foods/diets.
We will also learn more about issues around the production and consumption of food- globally and locally.

Assessments:
Throughout the year students will be evaluated with a variety of assessment tools. The assessment tools may include but are not limited to: self assessments, oral presentations, written analysis or reflections, projects and classroom discussions ( group and individual). All major project directions will come with concise instructions/rubric.
